This Traditional Handwoven Anatolian Rug was woven entirely by hand in Anatolia before the 1980s. It is made of wool and cotton. Additionally, the edges have been trimmed and sheared in a modern vintage style; no machines were used at any stage of the weaving process. The weave density is 22 knots per 8 cm in width and 28 knots per 8 cm in length. The weaving process took an average of 4 to 6 months. Furthermore, various techniques—such as “weft weaving” for the border decorations and “side loop weaving”—were used, varying from region to region. Since rugs of this type are handwoven, it is impossible to find an exact duplicate, though similar ones may exist in terms of color and pattern. For this reason, this rug is one-of-a-kind. Condition of the Rug: The rug has been used with great care and is well-preserved. After selection, it was shorn and cleaned to prepare it for reuse. Additionally, the rug is completely natural—it has not undergone any restoration, reshaping, or dyeing. Despite being approximately 40 years old, it has a modern appearance.
