[specs] Yarn: Wool and cotton Origin: Anatolia Collection: Anatolia Series This rug was woven entirely by hand in Anatolia before the 1980s. It is made of wool and cotton. Additionally, it has been trimmed, sheared, and washed in a modern vintage style. No machines were used at any stage of the weaving process. The weave density is 22 knots per 8 cm in width and 28 knots per 8 cm in length. The weaving process took an average of 4 to 6 months. Furthermore, various techniques were used, such as “weft knitting” for the border embellishments and “side loop knitting,” which vary from region to region. Since rugs of this type are handwoven, finding an exact duplicate is impossible, though similar ones may be found in terms of color and pattern. For this reason, this rug is one-of-a-kind. Condition
, having been used with great care and well-preserved. After selection, it was shorn and cleaned to prepare it for reuse. Additionally, the rug is completely natural—it has not been repaired, reshaped, or dyed. Although it is approximately 40 years old, it has a modern appearance. Cleaning Instructions: Do not shake or beat the rug while cleaning. It should be vacuumed daily using the brushless attachments of a vacuum cleaner. It should be wiped down with a soft cloth using natural soap or carpet shampoo. Detergents containing chemicals and harsh cleaning materials, such as brushes, can cause damage to the carpet’s structure. The water temperature used for cleaning should not exceed 30 degrees. Any liquid spilled on the carpet should be blotted up with an absorbent cloth. Stains must be treated immediately. The carpet should be dried promptly after cleaning. For general cleaning, carpet washers can be used, or you can seek assistance from professional services. Protect the carpet from direct sunlight. To prevent indentations, items placed on the carpet should not be left in the same spot for long periods; their positions should be rotated. When not in use, the carpet should be stored rolled up in a dry environment.
