Additional Information: Since hand-woven rugs are unique, each piece is one-of-a-kind; for this reason, there may be variations in weave density and motifs across the rug’s sections. This Traditional Hand-Woven Anatolian Rug is a completely hand-woven rug produced in Anatolia prior to the 1980s. It is made of wool and cotton. Additionally, the edges have been trimmed and sheared in a modern vintage style; no machines were used at any stage of the weaving process. The weave density is 22 knots per 8 cm in width and 28 knots per 8 cm in length. The weaving process took an average of 4 to 6 months. Furthermore, the border decorations were created using a technique called “weft weaving,” and different techniques—such as “side loop weaving”—were employed, varying from region to region. Since rugs of this type are handwoven, it is impossible to find an exact duplicate, though similar ones may exist in terms of color and pattern. For this reason, this rug is one-of-a-kind.

Condition
of the Rug: The rug has been used with the utmost care and is well-preserved. After selection, it was shorn and cleaned to prepare it for reuse. Additionally, the rug is completely natural—it has not undergone any repairs, reshaping, or dyeing. Despite being approximately 40 years old, it retains a modern appearance.
